How to increase sales with countertop product displays

Most companies have a traditional countertop display of some kind in their lobbies to show off their value proposition and services – brochure holders, literature racks, and standing structures with samples of their products on them. No matter what kind you have, they all tend to default to printed handouts that customers can easily pick up and flip through. Your hope is that they learn more about you, your company, and your services and maybe engage with you for business.

But not every company can easily explain their products and value proposition with just words and sometimes you just want to stand out, be different. The answer is a product display that literally displays one of your products, highlights its features, and allows customers to get up close and personal with the details. A physical display like this gives clients a change to feel and see what you have to offer and increase the likelihood of purchasing a product.

Stemco Brake Products Group, a commercial vehicle solutions supplier based in Longview, Texas, saw an increase in sales after they ordered a set of product displays from Paragon. Stemco, who has been developing fleet safety, performance, and fuel efficiency solutions since 1951, asked Paragon to design and manufacture a countertop stand to display their Crewson Brake Adjuster. It was sent out to 300 independent distributors of their line of high-quality braking products for heavy-duty trucks, and it turned out to be so successful that Stemco recently ordered an additional 50 stands and plan to create other truck component product displays with Paragon in the future.

Our solution was simple, elegant, and cost-effective: Using 3/4” Komatex (a rigid, lightweight PVC material), we built a two-piece stand with a fascia of Dibond (an aluminum composite material comprised of two sheets of .012” aluminum with a solid polyethylene core). We then printed the marketing message and description directly onto the Dibond with our flatbed printer. To attach the brake adjuster to the stand, we used a clevis fastener and cotter pin. Simple, easy and secure.
